Ken Legler
Ken Legler was a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 144 from 2009 until 2012. He passed away on June 1, 2012 from an apparent heart attack.[1]
Legler announced on September 20, 2011 that he would not be seeking re-election in 2012.[2]
Biography
Legler was the President & Owner of House Wire Works. He was also a member of the Bush Strike Force Team, Chamber of Commerce Board, National Federation of Independent Business Board, and Texas Association of Business Board.[3]

2010
Legler won re-election in District 144. He was unopposed in the March 2 Republican primary and then defeated Democrat Rick Molina, independent Brandon Weaver, and Libertarian Clifford Messina in the November 2 general election.[5]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Legler won election to the Texas House of Representatives from the 144th District, defeating Democrat Joel Redmond. Legler received 19,980 votes, ahead of Redmond (19,078).[6] He raised $592,850 for his campaign; Redmond raised $554,453.[7]
