Ken McQueen is a former New Mexico secretary of energy, minerals, and natural resources. He was appointed to the position by New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez (R) in December 2016 and served until January 2019.[1]

McQueen has more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry. In his early career, he worked as an engineer for Vintage Petroleum Inc. and Amerada Hess Corp. He later joined WPX Energy, where he worked as a director, a manager, and an engineer before rising to the level of vice president.[2]

McQueen was appointed to serve as the secretary of the New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department by Governor Susana Martinez (R) in December 2016. He succeeded former officeholder David Martin.[1]
