I have been a 64 year resident in the community, and I have gotten the opportunity to serve it in a variety of ways. After 7 years in the US Army, I married my wife Linda Montoya, and settled in Federal Heights, where I went on to become a CTE educator, represent Federal Heights on the city council, and run a thriving HVAC business.
  • Making sure every student has access to outstanding traditional, charter, and STEM/CTE educational choices
  • Creating a secure, safe environment for our staff and children
  • Building stronger relationships between our district and community to make sure our tax dollars are spent wisely
I'm passionate about education and economic development, seeing as I have lived at the cross section of the two policy areas. As a CTE (Career and Technical Education) business owner and former educator, I see that there is a significant labor shortage for fields like HVAC, plumbing, and more. I believe that the key to building a healthier labor force is using our education system to encourage students to pursue CTE education, and providing students with the choice and ability to pursue such opportunities.
