I've always had a call to make my community a better place. I have run mentorship programs for inner city youth, raised money to fund cancer research and helped provide greater experiential learning opportunities for college students.

I'm running because I love Michigan and this is the best way I can be of service to our state. I want to make sure Michigan continues to be a great place to live and the people have a voice in state government decisions.

I've been talking to our hardworking citizens and they are extremely concerned with the effects the COVID-19 pandemic will have on our business community, education system and their pocketbooks. I believe in lower taxes, less government and more freedoms. I will fight for this in Lansing.

We need to make sure we have a state government that works for the people - not against them. I have over 30 years of experience working with start-ups, nonprofits and large corporations. This has given me the qualifications necessary to listen to YOU and make strong decisions in the best interest of the greater Birmingham/Bloomfield area.
  • I believe in lower taxes, less government and more freedom.
  • The people deserve a voice in the process and to be heard in state government decisions. I intend to give you that voice.
  • I am committed to collaborating with others to come up with common-sense solutions to issues.

Continued training for workers of all levels and phases of their careers will help close the talent gap in Michigan. This starts with high schools offering vocational education and helping more students to consider to tech schools, community colleges or apprenticeships. However, it shouldn't stop there.

I worked in the recruitment industry and saw a talent shortage for many well-paying jobs where a 4-year degree was not necessary in areas with great benefits like healthcare and manufacturing. Therefore, I support the Reconnect Program which allows adults to retrain at community colleges and trade schools to prepare for the jobs of the future.

Additionally, Michigan's businesses should invest in their employees and encourage them to acquire new skills at all phases of their career. It would lead to a more engaged workforce that would be able to find career growth and satisfaction in our state.
ECONOMY-JOBS - I am committed to getting people back to work and helping businesses create more jobs. Additionally, I will work to overhaul our Unemployment Agency to ensure hardworking Michiganders receive assistance when needed.

ENVIRONMENT - Our environment and freshwater are our treasure. Contrary to popular belief, conservatives care about the environment too. We just recognize there is a real issue between balancing those in favor of stringent government regulations and those who believe commerce is more important. I am committed to collaborating with others to come up with common-sense solutions to these issues.
EDUCATION - I will do all I can to help our teachers and families adapt to our children's needs post-COVID-19. I also want to make sure your voices are heard so we can address how our schools operate into the future.
I support technical education and funding the Reconnect Program which allows adults to retrain at community colleges and trade schools. Our region needs good paying jobs and training will allow our workforce to transition into areas of need.

ROADS - Governor Whitmer's suggestion of adding 45 cents a gallon tax on gas was an unrealistic solution that Michiganders could not support. We need to refocus our attention on where our road dollars are spent and identifying the greatest areas of need. Our goal must be first to ensure that every penny at the pump goes to roads, only then can we discuss new funding streams to help fix our roads
Throughout my career, I have learned to listen and come up with solutions to my client's biggest challenges. The ability to think creatively and empathize with my clients will be beneficial to my constituents.

I am a strong, confident communicator who has spent my career presenting to groups large and small and collaborating with many different audiences to steward multi-million-dollar partnerships.

Finally, I have leadership and management experience and look forward to using my ability to motivate and inspire groups in the legislature.
My very first employer was Cheboygan Lumber Company where I worked throughout high school and college. I started as a cashier and was promoted to work in the accounting department. This position taught me computer skills, business etiquette, how to manage money and balance budgets. I loved developing relationships with our customers and learning about their new construction or home improvement projects.

Following college, I was hired by Turner Broadcasting and worked for the company for 19 years.
No, I believe a strong business background and life experience are far more beneficial than political experience. I have hands-on experience creating, growing and managing businesses small and large so I have seen their challenges first hand. Something that would be impossible to understand without real life experience.
Working in sales, I learned to listen and collaborate with partners which I believe are two of the most important skills for state legislators to possess.
Governor Whitmer's Executive Orders (over 100 in fact) from March through June of this year crippled our state's economy and shut out any input from the House of Representatives or Senate on extremely important matters during the pandemic.

The people deserve a voice in the process and to be heard in state government decisions. Michigan is a beautiful place to live, work and raise a family. We just need to ensure we have a state government with the necessary checks and balances that works for the people - not against them.
Absolutely! While we may have our differences, I believe everyone shares a similar goal to make Michigan a better place to live. By building relationships with others, I believe you are more likely to put aside petty differences and focus on the big picture of achieving better outcomes for our constituents.
