Kenlyn Foster is a judge of the Blount County General Sessions Court and the Blount County Juvenile Court in Tennessee. She was elected to this position in August 2014, effective September 1, to replace William Terry Denton. Her current term expires on August 31, 2022.[1][2]

Education

Foster received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law.[3]

Career

Foster was an assistant district attorney general for the Fifth Judicial District in Maryville, Tenn., prior to her election to the general sessions court in 2014. She also previously practiced law with the firm of Baker Donelson.[3]

Foster ran for election to the Blount County General Sessions Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 32.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Lance A. Evans, Tab Burkhalter, Tammy Tilson Hicks, Jim Snyder.
General: She defeated Susan H. Rushing in the general election on August 7, 2014, receiving 67.9 percent of the vote. [2][4][5]
