Kenneth Anderson is a former member of the Texas Public Utility Commission. He was first appointed to the commission by Governor Rick Perry on September 2, 2008 and was reappointed in September 2011 to a six-year term which expired on August 31, 2017.[1]

Prior to serving on the Public Utility Commission, Anderson was a member of the Texas State Securities Board, appointed to the position by then-Governor George W. Bush. Anderson also served as Director of Governmental Appointments in the Office of Governor Rick Perry from 2001 to early 2008 and had previously served as Chief Deputy Director of Governmental Appointments in the Office of Governor William P. Clements, Jr. from 1988 to 1990.[2]

In addition to public service, Anderson practiced corporate and securities law in Dallas, Texas and was general counsel for a major political party.[1][2]

Texas Public Utility Commission (2008-2017)

Anderson served as a member of the Texas Public Utility Commission from his appointment by Governor Rick Perry (R) on September 2, 2008 until August 2017. He was confirmed by the Texas State Senate on March 3, 2009 for a term ending August 31, 2011. On September 17, 2011, Governor Perry reappointed Commissioner Anderson for a six-year term ending August 31, 2017. On May 8, 2013, the Texas Senate unanimously approved of Anderson's reappointment.[3]
