Kenneth Bordes was a 2018 Democratic special election candidate for District 93 of the Louisiana House of Representatives.

A special primary election for Louisiana House of Representatives District 93 was called for March 24, 2018. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 5, 2018.[1]
The seat became vacant on May 6, 2018, after Helena Moreno (D) resigned her seat to join the New Orleans City Council.
Royce Duplessis (D) defeated Eldon Anderson (D), Kenneth Bordes (D), and Danil Faust (D) in the special election.[2][3]
Louisiana elections use the majority-vote system. All candidates compete in the same primary, and a candidate can win the election outright by receiving more than 50 percent of the vote. If no candidate does, the top two vote recipients from the primary advance to the general election, regardless of their partisan affiliation.
