Jones ran for election to the Superior Court of Orange County.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 33.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Fred Fascenelli, Kevin Haskins, and Thomas E. Martin.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 42.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Kevin Haskins. [1][2]
Education
Jones received both his undergraduate degree and J.D. from Whittier College.[3]
Career
Jones serves as the supervising deputy attorney general for the state of California. He has also worked as a private practice attorney and a judicial research attorney. As of 2014, Jones had practiced law for 25 years.[4]
