The proper allocation of county funds within the school system.
I truly define success by the impact you make of others lives. Which is why I have dedicated my career to not only increase representation throughout the field of STEM but to also intentional seek teach others about the power of mentorship. As a student I was often face with adversity and challenges that my mentors help be navigate. Thus I now realize I must pay it forward to the next generation. I am in a unique position where I am able to influence the younger generation encouraging them to pursue internship, mentors, and full careers. While also being able to influence the older generation asking them to reach back and pour into another. Enabling them to navigate certain challenges more efficiently. Thus I want my legacy to be that I impacted as many lives as I could, either directly or indirectly. So I will pursue these opportunities and pour into the next generation, because just as someone was there for me when I needed them I will be there for the next generation. Using my authority on the school board to restore the Prince Georges County School System to one of the best in the country.
For my very first job I worked as a Janitor at Bowie High School. This was a result of not listening to my mom when she said "You need to get a job and make some money this summer!" I wanted until the last minute and had no other choice but to accept the Custodial position. I kept this job for 3 months.
