Kenneth Hixson is a judge for District 3 Position 2 of the Arkansas Court of Appeals. He assumed office in 2013. His current term ends on December 31, 2030.
Hixson won re-election for the District 3 Position 2 judge of the Arkansas Court of Appeals outright after the general election on May 24, 2022, was canceled.
Hixson was a candidate for Position 3 judge of the Arkansas Supreme Court. Hixson lost the general election on May 22, 2018.
Biography
Education
Hixson received his B.S. in mathematics from the University of Central Arkansas in 1978 and his J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1982.[1]
Career
Hixson was in private practice with the law firm of Jones & Hixson in Fayetteville from 1982 to 1994. In 1994, he joined P.A.M. Transportation Services, Inc., as its general counsel. In 2004, he reopened his private practice and remained in private practice until he was elected to the Arkansas Court of Appeals.[1]

Hixson ran for District 3, Position 2 judge on the Arkansas Court of Appeals to fill the seat left vacant when Courtney Hudson Goodson was elected to the Arkansas Supreme Court in 2010. Hixson defeated Niki Cung in the election on May 22, 2012, receiving 51.52% of the vote.[3][4]
