Kenneth Kobylowski
Kenneth Kobylowski is the former commissioner of banking and insurance in New Jersey. He took office in February 2012 and remained in the post until he resigned in 2015.[1][2][3]
Biography
Kobylowski began his career as a bank analyst with The Federal Reserve Bank of New York. After earning his law degree he worked as counsel at Herrick, Feinstein, LLP, of Newark and New York, and was an associate at Connell, Foley and Geiser of Roseland.[1] He joined the Department of Banking and Insurance as Chief of Staff in February 2010 and became Acting Director of Banking in October 2011.[4]
After resigning as commissioner, Kobylowski became the senior vice president of provider contracting and network operations of AmeriHealth New Jersey, effective July 13, 2015.[5]

Political career
New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and Insurance (2012-2015)
Kobylowski began serving as New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and Insurance on February 11, 2012, although he was not officially confirmed by the New Jersey State Senate until December 20, 2012.[4] Kobylowski announced he would be stepping down in the summer of 2015.[2] Upon his resignation, Christie praised Kobylowski for working to establish an interstate insurance compact and establishing a new Bureau of Fraud Deterrence. Richard Badolato succeeded him as acting commissioner on June 22, 2015.[3]
