Kenneth R. Garrett is a judge for Division 2 of the Missouri 16th Judicial Circuit Court. He assumed office in 2013. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.

Garrett ran for re-election for the Division 2 judge of the Missouri 16th Judicial Circuit Court. He won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.

Following a term as associate judge, he was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon in October 2013 to succeed Michael W. Manners.[1] He was retained to the court in 2014 and in 2020.[2]

Education

Garrett received a B.A. in political science and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He earned his J.D. there as well.[3]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Garrett served in the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for six years. Before that, he was an assistant attorney general for Missouri.[3]
