Kenneth Walker (Mississippi)
Kenneth Walker (Democratic Party) was a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 27. He assumed office on January 5, 2016. He left office on April 2, 2023.
Walker (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Mississippi House of Representatives to represent District 27. He did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on August 8, 2023.
Biography
Walker received a bachelor's degree in 1974 from Jackson State University. He also earned a master's degree from Jackson State University in 1978. Walker was a licensed contractor and was certified in storm water pollution prevention. He has worked in project management, a position he started in 2009. Prior to that, Walker was in environmental management from 1998 through 2008. He did quality management from 1993 through 1997. From 1976 through 1992, Walker worked in industrial/manufacturing engineering. Walker has also been a farmer in Leake County.[1]

Elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[2] Kenneth Walker defeated Leroy Lacy and Bulus E. Leflore Jr. in the Democratic primary. R. Dewayne Gill was unopposed in the Republican primary. Walker defeated Gill in the general election.
