Kenneth Young, Running as an independent for California's 24th Congressional District. I am a Civil Engineer with knowledge in Energy, Transportation and Civil infrastructure. I believe that congress is for the people and should be by the people. I decided to run for office after hearing from a friend who was spending 50% of her income on health insurance. Between crazy expanding cost in Health Care and the cap on the deducting of State and Local taxes on Federal taxes I needed to express my distaste with this congress and both parties as I see more and more young professional families leaving the state.
  • Energy - our quality of life is directly related to the cost of energy
  • Infrastructure - good and well maintained infrastructure allows the society to move goods and services
  • Health Care - America needs to become the leader in Preventative health
Energy, Infrastructure and Health Care. Followed by trade and manufacturing.
To listen to the citizens and to work on legislation that is feasible.
To be someone who listened and responded to the citizen rather than being pulled into corporate interest
Carpenter Apprentice - I worked for a framing contractor when I turned 15 years old. I loved every minute of it. It was labor intensive and pushed me to study engineering in School
A RIver Run Through it by. Norman Maclean.

Because he packed so much into such a short novel
Yes, Working in Government gives an individual a unique perspective on the duties of government and the ethical standards that Government employees are expected to live by.
Maintaining Energy independence and keeping energy cheap, clean and environmentally neutral. Health Care the United States is the leader in Medical Research we now need to become leaders in Preventative Care.
Yes, the House should be by the people and for the people.
