Kent Chandler
Kent Chandler was a member of the Kentucky Public Service Commission. He assumed office in 2020. He left office on June 30, 2024.
Chandler was appointed to the commission by Gov. Andy Beshear (D) on July 6, 2020. He served as vice chairman of the commission until August 3, 2021, when he was appointed as chair of the commission.[1]
Chandler resigned from the Kentucky Public Service Commission following the conclusion of his term on June 30, 2024. [2]
Biography
Before his appointment as vice chairman, Chandler served as executive director of the Kentucky Public Service Commission. Prior to that, he served as an advisor to the commission on federal issues regarding wholesale gas and electricity markets.[1]
Education
Chandler received a bachelor's degree in finance from Murray State University and a J.D. from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law.[1]
