Kent Hoffmann is a judge on the Sheboygan County Circuit Court in Wisconsin. He was appointed by Republican Governor Scott Walker on May 27, 2016, to succeed Judge Timothy Van Akkeren.[1]
Hoffmann won re-election without opposition in the general election on April 4, 2017.
Biography
Hoffman received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to his judicial appointment, he served as an assistant district attorney in Marinette County from 2009 to 2016. He previously worked for the Wisconsin Public Defender's Office for 16 years.[1]

2017
Wisconsin held local judicial elections in 2017. Forty-eight circuit court seats were up for election on April 4, 2017. Three seats required primaries on February 21, 2017, with the top two vote recipients for each seat advancing to the April 4 general election. Thirty-seven seats up for election in 2017 were unopposed.[2] Incumbent Kent Hoffmann ran unopposed in the general election for the Branch 2 seat on the Sheboygan County Circuit Court.
