Kentucky's 4th Congressional District special election, 2012
The 4th Congressional District of Kentucky held a special election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. The election filled the vacancy left by the resignation of Representative Geoff Davis (R). The general election was held simultaneously with the regular election on November 6, 2012.[1]
Thomas Massie (R) won both elections.

Race background
This election was held to replace Geoff Davis who resigned on July 31 due to a family health issue. The winner of the election filled out the remaining two months of the term. As expected, both parties nominated their regular election candidates to run in the special election, Democrat Bill Adkins and Republican Thomas Massie.[1]
