The Kentucky Medical Marijuana Amendment did not make the 2012 ballot in the state of Kentucky as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The measure would have legalized the use of medical marijuana in the state. The proposal was introduced during the 2012 state legislative session. According to reports, the measure was filed by State Senator Perry Clark. The formal title of the bill was Senate Bill 129[1]

Path to the ballot

If 60% of the membership of each chamber of the Kentucky General Assembly approves, a proposed amendment goes on the ballot at the next general election during which members of the state legislature are up for election.
