UPTON, Kentucky: The Kentucky Supreme Court will weigh in on the legality of a Kentucky man's religious billboards.[1] Real estate developer Jimmy Harston has paid for 8 religious billboards over the past decade. Three billboards are currently on display across the state. In 2008, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet filed a civil suit against Harston. Two lower court rulings have found in favor of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The state argues that Harston lacks the appropriate permits to display his billboards. Harston believes that the state's legal challenge is politically motivated.[2]
