- Conservation of our Key Resources Our environment has critical ecological considerations. We must support plans for shore protections that are sustainable and balanced. This could mean different approaches than in the past in order to strengthen resilience to coastal hazards. We must be thoughtful in how we manage to protect our waterways, wetlands and our tree canopy. Our Stormwater mitigation plans continue to evolve and that should continue. There are reasonable approaches to conservation that work for nature and our Town.
- Proportional, Suitable, Sustainable Growth. We must stay informed and advocate for our position with NC Legislature when their legislation is not in the best interests of our community. I fully support the updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan and the Streetscape elements which will provide improvements to our commercial district over time. Also we should finalize an Economic Development strategy to bring suitable new businesses to our Town to diversify the Tax Base. We must be more diligent in public safety with improvements for pedestrians so that our community can become "walkable." As our population continues to grow; we must work with NCDOT and push for improved emergency evacuation plans and create storm shelters.
- My strength lies in shaping environments — physical and civic — where people feel heard, where beauty and function coexist, and where good ideas become lasting outcomes. I’m not afraid to evolve, to admit when something can be improved, or to make decisions that serve the greater good. What sets me apart is a deep commitment to authenticity over ego, to vision over noise, and to actions that reflect integrity — not just ambition. I care deeply about people, process, and progress, and I believe leadership is not about control — it’s about stewardship. My work reflects who I am: someone who builds, restores, and uplifts — with clarity, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to the community I serve.
