Kerry Lee Morgan (Libertarian Party) ran for election for Wayne County Prosecutor in Michigan. He lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Biography

Morgan received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, his master's degree in public policy from Regent University, and his J.D. from Detroit College of Law.[1][2]

Morgan has been an attorney since 1981. He is of counsel for the firm Pentiuk, Couvreur & Kobiljak, P.C.[2] He previously served as an attorney-advisor with the United States Commission on Civil Rights in Washington, DC.[1]

Morgan ran against incumbent Justice Joan Larsen for her seat on the Michigan Supreme Court.[3] The election winner will serve out the remainder of the term, which expires in January 2019.

General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 9 percent of the vote. He competed against Deborah Thomas and David Viviano. [4] 

2012

Morgan was one of seven candidates competing for two seats on the Michigan Supreme Court in the general election on November 6, 2012. He was defeated in the general election, receiving 4.07% of the vote.[5][6][7]
