Keven Ellis (Republican Party) is a member of the Texas State Board of Education, representing District 9. He assumed office in 2017. His current term ends on January 1, 2027.
Ellis (Republican Party) won re-election to the Texas State Board of Education to represent District 9 outright after the general election on November 8, 2022, was canceled.
On September 17, 2021, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) reappointed Ellis as chair of the Board of Education. Ellis was first appointed as chair in September 2019.[1]
Biography
A chiropractor, Ellis opened Ellis Chiropractic in 1998. As of November 2017, he remained active with the practice. Prior to his election to the board, Ellis spent four years on the Lufkin Independent School District Board of Trustees, serving as its president.[2]
