What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
“ | 1) Issue One: Healthcare. 2) Issue Two: Labor Equality. |
” |
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?
“ | I strongly support Clean Air. Clean Water, and Renewable Energy. I have pledged not to take campaign donations or PAC money from utilities, pipeline and/or fracking companies. I believe that the health of our community, the health of our planet, and the economic growth in research, development, and implementation of renewable energy in Ohio and Wayne county is an outstanding opportunity. I also strongly support reasonable gun restrictions. Such as: a ban on bumpstocks, ban on large capacity magazines, universal background check on the purchase of all guns, ban the purchase of guns for individuals under 21 years of age, and a ban on assault style rifles.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]

Ballotpedia also asked the candidate a series of optional questions. Kevin Barnet answered the following:
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
“ | My favorite holiday is Christmas. When my children were young, the magic and wonder on their faces when they awoke was everything I could ask for as a parent. Now that they are older, and out of the house, the opportunity to spend the holiday season together is something I look forward to each year.[3] | ” |
“ | My favorite book is Time and Again by Jack Finney because it has the best ending to a book I ever read.[3] | ” |
“ | I support Issue 1 on the Ohio primary ballot.[3] | ” |
