I am a father, educator, and coach who understands that education provides the key to our country’s future. My wife, Christina, and I moved to the Vernon-Rockville community to start our. Vernon quickly became home. Our two children attend Vernon Public Schools and participate in a variety of activities and sports in town. I have had had the joy and honor of coaching many of these teams, getting to know many other Vernon-Rockville families in the process.

With five years of experience on the Vernon Board of Education, I have worked on numerous committees. Working across the aisle with BOE members on the Finance Committee, Curriculum Committee, and Policy Committee, among others, I have worked to deliver responsible and balanced budgets, while placing an emphasis on equity for all Vernon students. My nearly 17 years teaching civics and coaching youth sports has given me an understanding and appreciation of the value of giving back to the community. I have spent my career teaching high school students, future leaders, the skills necessary to be civically engaged members of their communities. My love of history, government and democracy has prepared me well to represent Vernon-Rockville in the State Legislature.

Through this lens of equity and community engagement, I will listen to the diverse voices of Vernon's 56th district and find solutions to the challenges facing Vernon and the State of Connecticut.

  • Securing ECS funding and providing equitable opportunity for all students is key to building a vibrant community for the future.
  • I will work to lower prescription drug costs and expanding tax relief for veterans and seniors
  • I will defend women's rights, including working to protect the right to choose and bodily autonomy

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Connecticut

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
