I have been creating sculptures, teaching classes and raising my family in Southern Oregon over the past 24 years. The past two years have been difficult for many, personally< I suffered through the loss of my business in the Alameda Fire and understand the power of community in helping each other get back on our feet. Now more than ever I am committed to the importance of realistic common sense solutions to the problems we face. I see the need for representatives to hold firm on the principles and be a fire-wall protecting the people from government over-reach. I am happy to have the opportunity to serve the community as our elected Senator in order to do my part to help save the State and Country that I love.
  • I am a proponent of school choice and strongly believe our tax dollars should follow the student so that parents have alternative opportunities in educating their children.
  • I support law enforcement and maintain a commitment to public safety and rule of law.
  • I am pro-life, believing that human life is a sacred gift and should be protected.
I am deeply concerned about the future of Oregon and America. The time is now to take a stand and say enough is enough. We will no longer tolerate the abuse and are willing to do something about it. I believe it is time for a change.
There is no greater guide than Almighty God but my father was a good man.
I am creative at problem solving, work well with others and fairly clear at articulating a message.
I would like to look back on my life and know that I did everything I could to make it a better place than I found it.
Equipment operator and welder for Koronis Parts and Sno-Stuff which produced replacement parts for snowmobiles, motorcycles and ATV's.
Feeling like there is not enough time to do everything I want to do.
Mutual understanding of purpose in order to work in the best capacity as a representative of the people.
The rights, freedom and liberty of the people are at grave risk.
Unicameral legislature is probably more efficient and nimble in it's ability to get things done but it can efficiently cause enormous damage in the wrong hands. A Bicameral systems benefit is to keep power in check and ensure a more accurate representation.
I personally believe that fresh eyes on old problems can be quite helpful in solving business as usual conduct. To many people seem to be indoctrinated into the system and owned by it. An outsider to that system is not beholden to other influences and interests and can operate more in line with the will of the people.
Of course, how can we understand each other unless we have a relationship. Some people may be difficult or disagree but we need to try hard to have a relationship so we can understand the human being that occupies that position. Life should be as personal as possible. It's the same as knowing who owns and runs the businesses that make up a community.

Fair input, oversight and representation. No deal making like what happened this last time where someone didn't play fair.
Just yesterday I was moved by the experiences that a landowner had in Phoenix dealing with seemingly unwarranted violations and fines by the county and seeing how the tenants grow operation left such destruction and debris on their property.
Emergency powers need to fiercely be kept in check.
I have a strong conviction to hold to the morality of the principles that I believe in. I will not negotiate with my core belief. I will listen to any argument intended to change my understanding, but I do not intend to adopt anything that I feel compromises those principles.
