Campaign themes

2016

Corbett's 2016 campaign website highlighted the following issues:[3]

WE DESERVE STRONG AND DECISIVE LEADERSHIP
For too long, our city has suffered from a lack of the strong and decisive leadership that we need and deserve. We must have better leadership to fulfill the potential of this great American city we call home.

WE CAN HAVE THE CITY WE WANT AND DESERVE
I envision a city that is peaceful, prosperous and safe for ALL, a city that provides the crucial services its residents are entitled to. I will work tirelessly to make this happen.

CITY GOVERNMENT HAS FAILED TO DO ITS JOB
Although located in one of the most dynamic, diverse and thriving regions in the world, our city still suffers from a high crime rate and lacks the most basic services that city government is supposed to provide, such as maintenance of our city’s streets.

This is unacceptable! [4]
