1. Reducing the national debt with controlled spending and limiting the use of CR's. Fully support DOGE.

2. Enforce the boarders and current immigration laws.
3. No taxes on Social Security, pensions, or tips. He will work with the State of Florida in reducing or eliminating property taxes. Lower taxes for all Americans.

Teddy Roosevelt as he overcame a lot of health and personal loss issues in his life. He confronted the corrupt political bosses of his time, reformed the NY Police force, enforced the Sherman and Clayton Acts, and fought for the average voter of his time.
1) The Federalist Papers as I am a Constitutionalist.
2. Film - Smith Goes to Washington - as one man or women with a strong character and ideals can make a difference in Washington D.C,
To represent the residents of Florida District 1 adequately. One must be a public servant first and foremost, putting self interest behind. He must be discerning and knowledgeable regarding the process and public interests while serving in Congress. Finally, but not in the least, that person should surround him or herself with Godly and wise advisers. To be a public servant is an honor not to be held by the proud, but by the humblest servant.
1) Compassion and empathy for people.

2) The ability to lead with courage - whether it is in line with the current cultural trends. I would hold fast to the values that matter - faith, hope, and love.

3) Knowledge of the process Congress, our history, and the knowledge that the U.S. can be that shining city on a hill.
1) To represent, as best as possible ALL the people of the district, whether poor, middle class or the wealthy. All deserve a voice in government.

2) To have character and ability to carry out the duties of the office under the laws of the U.S. Constitution.
3) To never dishonor the office I am seeking.

4) To present or co-sponsor legislation that best represents the interests of my constituency in my district and our nation. Patriotism should rise above any party partisanship.
That I exhibited the love of Christ Jesus in all that I attempted - giving Him the glory. That I was a good husband, dad, grandfather, teacher, and public servant.
I shined shoes in a barber shop in St. Charles, Illinois during 5th and 6th grades.
The Bible -it provides wisdom, encouragement, joy, and hope!
At times when dealing with the loss of a loved one, understanding the why of it and timing. However, I learned through faith that one day all will be understood and the pain of loss forever replaced by joy.
Of the branches of government, I believe it should be the most responsive and closest to the people.
Yes it is beneficial, but not in all cases as our Founders believed many professions, whether a small business owner, teacher, or famers could adequately serve. What Congress needs are less politicians or career government seekers as well as lawyers.
I full support the following term limits and would propose a Constitutional Amendment stating the same:

1. U.S. House members no more than 3 terms or 6 years.

2. Senators - 1 term of 6 years.
Robert Kennedy once said about his brother John, "If a mosquito bit Jack Kennedy, the mosquito would die."
Yes, politics is the art of compromise as long as your basic values and principles are not compromised.
1) Perhaps being assigned to the Appropriations Committee and assisting DOGE with eliminating wasteful spending and obsolete federal agencies.
2) Reduce the ability to have agencies through the Federal Registrar make regulations or laws.
To investigate alleged wrongdoing of House members and appropriately censure or expel.
To keep both parties, along with various agencies accountable to the tax payer.
Namely veterans, senior citizens, and students.
1. Veterans Affairs

2. Judiciary

3. Ways and Means or Appropriations
1) Fully believe in the proposed Senate Ethics Act prohibiting essentially inside trading by member of Congress and their spouses.

2) I believe the budget process needs to be adhered to with single bill legislation relating to appropriation bills and no continuing resolutions with numerous pages in proposed legislation to be read or not within a very short period of time.
3) Limit foreign aid to only our national interests.
4) Criminal penalties should be imposed against those individuals and agencies misallocating funds, such as the recent IRS audit revealing billions misallocated.

5) Eliminate pork spending with single appropriation bills.
