Kevin Garn

Kevin Garn (b. January 14, 1955) was a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 16. He resigned in March 2010.

Garn served in the Utah State House of Representatives from 1990 to 2002. From 1995 to 1996, he served as Assistant Majority Whip. He ran for re-election in 2002 but lost. In 2007, he rejoined the Utah State House. He served in that position, representing the 16th District, until his resignation in March 2010.

Resignation (2010)

Garn resigned following a public acknowledgment that he was in a hot tub naked with a 15-year-old girl 25 years earlier. In 2002 he paid the woman $150,000 not to talk about it.[1] The Salt Lake Tribune also reported that in 2006 he pleaded guilty to alcohol-related reckless driving.[2]
