Kevin Haskins is a judge of the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He assumed office in 2015. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.

Haskins won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Orange County in California outright in the primary on March 3, 2020, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Biography

Education

Haskins received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1982. He then earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. In 2010, Haskins obtained an LL.M. from Chapman University School of Law.[1]

Career

At the time of his election to the bench, Haskins worked for the Orange County District Attorney's office as an assistant district attorney. He began working with that office in 1986. Haskins has also taught as an adjunct professor at Chapman University School of Law since 2009.[1]

Primary: He was successful in the primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 48.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Fred Fascenelli, Kenneth C. "KC" Jones, and Thomas E. Martin.
General: He defeated Kenneth C. "KC" Jones in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 57.9 percent of the vote.[2][3]
