Kevin J. Kerrigan
Kevin J. Kerrigan is a judge of the New York Supreme Court 11th Judicial District. He assumed office in 2007. His current term ends on January 1, 2035.
Kerrigan (Democratic Party, Republican Party, Conservative Party) ran for re-election for judge of the New York Supreme Court 11th Judicial District. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Education
Kerrigan received his B.A. degree from St. Bonaventure University in 1977 and his J.D. degree from the University of Bridgeport School of Law in 1981.[1][2]
Career
Kerrigan began his career as a partner of Kerrigan & Kerrigan in 1981. He then served as a community liaison to Congressman Thomas Manton from 1985 to 1987. In 1987 and 1988, he worked as Counsel & Executive Assistant to Council Member Walter McCaffrey. He then worked for te Mayor's Office of Contracts as a staff analyst until 1990, when he returned to the private practice. He was an associate with Sheldon, Lobel, & Associates until 1992. He then worked from 1992 to 1995 as a law secretary to a Supreme Court Justice in New York and a Deputy Commissioner of the New York State Liquor Authority.
Kerrigan began his legal career in 2000, when he was elected to the New York City Civil Court of Queens County. He was then elected to the Queens County Supreme Court in 2007.[1]
