Campaign themes
2014
Suscavage's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]
Right to Know What's in our Food / GMO's
- Excerpt: "At the very heart of the matter, we, the people of CA, have the right to know if we are eating GMO foods or not."
Don't Frack California
- Excerpt: "There is much debate about the effects of fracking on the health of people, land, and water (both open waters like streams as well as our underground aquifers). Therefore, if we are to 'frack' in CA anymore, these issues must be addressed."
Tax Breaks for Small Business
- Excerpt: "I propose that small business (from 'mom and pop' stores to those which gross up to $300,000 per year), pay no more than 30% in income tax. It is a sad truth that as many as 80% of small business fail; this daunting statistic is reason enough to give them a tax break."
Ending Corporate "Personhood"
- Excerpt: "The truth we are facing is this. Corporations and unions prop lawmakers up with money, then lawmakers expand the power of their 'puppet-masters', as it's been said. This can't be good. "
Complete Transparency
- Excerpt: "Well, as concerned with our district, I'll have a "Citizens' Website", which will show how every dollar...yes every dollar of our state taxes was spent. Furthermore, the site will be a posting board for all people in our district to comment/rant/ask about any CA issues near and dear to them, provided the remarks are not profane or slanderous."
