Kevin Knedler was a Libertarian candidate for Ohio Secretary of State in the 2014 elections.[1] Kevin Knedler lost the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]

After growing up in Union County, Ohio, Knedler earned his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.[3]

Professionally, Knedler has worked for the same company for over 40 years as a national account sales manager.[4]

Knedler is active in Libertarian politics. He is the chairman of the executive committee of the Libertarian Party of Ohio. He previously served as an at-large member of the Libertarian National Committee from 2010 to 2012.[3]

Knedler ran for election to the office of Ohio Secretary of State as a Libertarian. The general election took place on November 4, 2014.

To qualify for the November ballot, Knedler needed 500 write-in votes in the primary, even though the Libertarian nomination was uncontested. He succeeded, receiving 716 votes in the unofficial results.[5]

The original Libertarian candidate, Aaron Keith Harris, was disqualified by the Ohio Secretary of State after his campaign submitted too few accepted signatures.[6]
