Kevin Korsmo
Kevin M. Korsmo was a judge on the Washington Court of Appeals, Division III. He was appointed to this position by Governor Christine Gregoire on January 31, 2008, effective February 13. He was elected by voters the following November 4 and re-elected in 2014.[1][2][3][4][5]
Korsmo did not seek re-election in 2020 and left office when his term ended on January 10, 2021.[6]
Education
Judge Korsmo received his B.S. from North Dakota State University in 1979 and his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 1982.[2][5]
Career
After law school, Judge Korsmo began his legal career as an associate of the Law Offices of L. William Houger. In 1984, he began working as a trial attorney for the Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office. He became an appellate attorney in this office four years later. He joined the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office in 1990 and worked there until his appointment to the court of appeals in 2008.[1][2][5]
