Kevin M. Harris (Democratic Party) is a member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 27. He assumed office on December 9, 2025. His current term ends on January 13, 2027.
Harris (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the Maryland State Senate to represent District 27. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on June 23, 2026.[source]
Governor of Maryland Wes Moore (D) appointed Harris to the Maryland State Senate District 27 on December 3, 2025 to replace Michael A. Jackson (D).[1]
Biography
Kevin M. Harris was born in Newark, New Jersey. Harris served in the U.S. Navy from 1999 to 2009. He earned a B.A. in general studies and business administration from Washington Bible College in 2011 and an M.S. in leadership development from Walden University in 2014.[2]
Harris' career experience includes working as a deputy program manager with Technica Corporations, LLC, a technical project lead with Teralogics, LLC, and the lead senior action officer with Cambridge, Inc. He has been affiliated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the NAACP, and the Fort Washington Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.[2]
