Kevin McCarthy (Iowa)
Kevin McCarthy is a former Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 33 from 2003 to August 2013. He resigned on August 15, 2013, to take a position in the Iowa Attorney General's office.[1]
McCarthy served as House Minority Leader from 2011 to 2013.
Biography
McCarthy's professional experience includes working on the staff of Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller and as an Attorney for the Tobacco Project.[2]

2012
McCarthy ran in the 2012 election for Iowa House of Representatives District 33. McCarthy ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012, and defeated Daniel G. LeRette (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
2010
McCarthy won re-election to the 67th District seat against Jeremy L. Walters (R). McCarthy had no opposition in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[5]

2008
On November 4, 2008, McCarthy was re-elected to the 67th District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Larry Disney (R).[6] McCarthy raised $654,768 for his campaign, while Disney raised $11,507.[7]
