Kevin Melcher
Kevin Melcher was a member of the Nevada State Board of Education, representing District 2. Melcher assumed office on September 27, 2019. Melcher left office on January 1, 2021.
Melcher ran for election to the Nevada Board of Regents to represent District 10. Melcher lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Melcher was appointed to the Nevada State Board of Education by Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) to succeed David Carter.[1]
Melcher is also a former District 8 representative of the Nevada Board of Regents. Melcher served from his election in 2010 until his term ended in 2016.
Biography
Melcher was a teacher and administrator in the Elko County School District for 28 years. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Nevada, Reno.[1]
