My name is Kevin Peters and I'm running as a Democrat in Elkhart County. I have a professional background in healthcare and nonprofit and have served on committees at work and church. I look forward to bringing diverse representation to the community.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am personally passionate about helping the community through nonprofits and the many parks in our community.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Integrity is the most important characteristic an elected official can have.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I am very patient and love hearing all sides of a story before creating an opinion.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Maintaining a balance budget and representing the community

Elkhart County having more Democrats elected

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The first historical event that I remember was the 2000 election between Bush and Gore. I was 9 years old.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Kroger grocery store. 1.5 years

All work done by the county should be transparent and easily accessible
