Anderson earned his J.D. from the J. Ruben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, graduating cum laude.[1]

Professional career

Prior to joining the court, Anderson was the standing Chapter 13 trustee for the District of Utah; he held the position for 17 years. He started his career as a law clerk for Judge David Naugle, a bankruptcy judge for the Central District of California.[1]
