Kevin Raye to run for US House against Michaud
January 13, 2012
AUGUSTA, Maine: Current Maine State Senate President Kevin Raye (R) announced he will run for U.S. House this fall, challenging current incumbent Mike Michaud (D).[1]
Raye formed an exploratory committee in November 2011 to test the waters regarding a possible run.[2] Raye is currently unopposed in the June 12 primary for the 2nd congressional seat.
If they face in the general election, this would not be the first time Michaud and Raye went up against one another. Michaud defeated Raye in 2002 for election to the 2nd Congressional District, by a sum of 116,868-107,849.[3]
