|- The reason that I entered this race was to protect public education. Public schools are my passion and I have the knowledge to lead the discussions on the critical issues. I am not afraid of having difficult conversations and working towards solutions.
- We need to get the economy back on track. Our small business owners have had to work extremely hard during the pandemic. Almost 50% of all KY workers are employed in small business. We need to make sure that they return to prominence and are not burdened by unnecessary restrictions as this industry is the heartbeat of our economy.
- We are in uncertain times with the state budget. We need people who are grounded in practice to be making calls about our scant fiscal resources. Having transparency will be key with this. Being open and clear about difficult decisions are what we need right now.
Communication with all parties and stakeholders at frequent intervals.
Bipartisanship so that other viewpoints are heard and valued.
Calmness in the presence of critical events and stressful situations.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
