Kim S. Benefield is a former Democratic member of the Alabama State Senate, representing the District 13 from 2006 to 2010. Benefield served as the Circuit Clerk of Randolph County from 1988 to 2006.

Benefield earned her B.S. in accounting from Jacksonville State University.

On November 7, 2006, Benefield won election to the 13th District Seat in the Alabama State Senate, defeating opponent Jim C. Ingram (R).[1]
