Primary: She was successful in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 46.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Gregory Noto and Darren Roy.
General: She defeated Darren Roy in the general election on December 6, 2014, receiving 56 percent of the vote. [4][5][6]

Jones ran for election to the 34th Judicial District Court. Primary: She was defeated in the primary on October 19, 2013, receiving 49.7 percent of the vote.[7][8]

Jones earned her J.D. from Loyola University in New Orleans.[9]

Career

Jones worked as an attorney in St. Bernard Parish for over 20 years, handling civil and criminal cases. From 1993 until her judicial election, she was a partner with the Law Firm of Ginart and Jones.[10][9]
