Kim Wilson Burke (Republican Party) was a judge of the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Ohio. She assumed office in 2001. She left office on January 2, 2021.

Burke (Nonpartisan, Republican Party) ran for re-election for judge of the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Ohio. Burke lost in the general election on November 3, 2020. She advanced from the Republican primary on April 28, 2020.

Burke presided over Hamilton County's Drug Court in the Court of Common Pleas. She was appointed to the court by Governor Bob Taft on February 12, 2001, and elected to the court in November 2002.[1][2]

Biography

Education

Burke received her B.A. from the Ohio State University and her J.D. from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1983.[3]

Career

Before joining the Court of Common Pleas, Burke served as a municipal court judge for the Hamilton County Municipal Court. She also previously practiced law as a senior associate at the law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has served as an assistant city prosecutor and an assistant city solicitor for the City of Cincinnati.[2][4]
