I'm a dedicated community leader, experienced change maker, military spouse, and advocate for meaningful civic engagement in Colorado Springs. With a passion for service and a proven track record of leadership, I am running for City Council to ensure that our community thrives through smart policies, inclusive growth, and strong local leadership.

As the President & CEO of the Black Chamber of Commerce, I work to uplift small businesses and foster economic opportunity. I also serve as a Board Member for The Independence Center and on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, advocating for accessibility, economic development, and community progress.

My commitment to service extends to the Military Spouse Community Coalition Committee, where I co-chair efforts to support military families, and the KOAA5 Community Advisory Committee, ensuring our local media reflects and serves our diverse community. I have also been honored as the 2024 AFI Army Spouse of the Year, 2024 Mayor’s Young Leader for Community Impact, and a 2025 Colorado Springs Business Journal Woman of Influence for my impact in the city.

From championing small businesses to advocating for military families and inclusive economic policies, I am dedicated to making Colorado Springs a place where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. I look forward to bringing my leadership, experience, and passion to City Council—because when we work together, our community thrives.
  • Proven Leadership & Community Advocacy I am a dedicated leader with a strong record of service in Colorado Springs. As President & CEO of the Black Chamber of Commerce and a Board Member of The Independence Center, I advocate for small businesses, accessibility, and economic opportunity. My leadership on the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC Board ensures that our city thrives through smart policies and inclusive growth. I am committed to bringing my experience and passion for service to City Council to create a stronger, more connected community.
  • Committed to Affordable Housing Solutions Housing affordability is a critical issue in Colorado Springs, and I am committed to solutions that ensure residents can live and thrive in our city. As a former member of the Community Development Advisory Committee, I worked on housing initiatives that impact our community. I also contributed as a credited researcher for the 2022 Blue Star Families Housing Pulse Check, addressing housing challenges for military families. On City Council, I will advocate for policies that expand affordable housing options, support smart development, and keep housing attainable for all.
  • Prioritizing Public Safety A safe community is a strong community. I am honored to be endorsed by our police and fire departments, recognizing my commitment to supporting first responders and ensuring public safety remains a top priority. I will work to ensure they have the resources, training, and staffing needed to keep our neighborhoods safe. From emergency response to community policing, I support smart policies that protect residents, improve response times, and foster trust between law enforcement and the community.
Public Policy with Community Engagement & Activation
I believe that public policy should truly be public—shaped by the voices, experiences, and needs of the people it impacts. Too often, decisions are made without meaningful community input. In District 4, we have the lowest representation in our city's boards and commissions and the lowest voter turnout. That’s why I am committed to engaging, activating, and empowering residents in shaping the future of Colorado Springs.
I look up to my mom, the first Korean woman to reach the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 5 in the United States Army. Her strength, determination, and resilience have shaped the way I lead and serve. From deploying to the Gulf War in the 90s to deploying to Afghanistan post 9/11, she obstacles with unwavering resolve, never letting barriers define her path. More than words, she taught me through action how to turn challenges into opportunities. Her ability to break barriers and create new paths inspires me to lead with courage, push for progress, and ensure that others have the opportunity to succeed—no matter the obstacles in their way.
An elected official should be accessible, accountable, and community-driven. They must listen to and engage with residents, ensuring public policy reflects the needs of the people. Integrity and transparency build trust, while collaboration and problem-solving drive effective governance. Equity and inclusivity ensure all voices are heard, and a commitment to service keeps the focus on improving lives. Most importantly, data-driven decision-making ensures policies are informed, effective, and truly benefit the community.
