Biography

Kimberly Hinkel Browning served in the U.S. Navy from 1989 to 1996 and earned a bachelor's degree and a graduate degree from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Hinkel Browning's career experience includes being a social worker.[1]

Kimberly is a mother to three grown sons and is also a Navy veteran who believes in defending the rights and liberty of all individuals and limiting government overreach into our daily lives and protecting our privacy. She has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in social work and is experienced working with individuals and families with real life struggles. Her primary focus has been in the field of mental health and addiction where she has been an active community member in addressing the opioid epidemic in Louisville and the surrounding areas. Her work has required policy making and working with team members who bring different perspectives and philosophical beliefs to the table. Kimberly also has experience as a small business owner and understands the challenges that small businesses are facing during these difficult times with rising inflation and employee shortages.
  • Kimberly considers herself a moderate and hopes to use her skills to work together on bipartisan bills that will improve the lives and communities of the Commonwealth.
  • Kimberly is community oriented and will work with county leadership and chambers of commerce to bring economic development to the district and along I-71
  • Kimberly supports the legalization of medicinal cannabis and sports wagering which will increase Kentucky revenue.
Kimberly is concerned about the opioid crisis, child welfare, public schools, and supporting older adults and caregivers by reducing long term care expenses.
