Kimberly M. Esmond Adams
Kimberly M. Esmond Adams is a judge of the Georgia 5th Superior Court District Atlanta Circuit. She assumed office in 2009. Her current term ends on January 1, 2029.
Esmond Adams ran for re-election for judge of the Georgia 5th Superior Court District Atlanta Circuit. She won in the general election on May 21, 2024.
Education
Adams received her B.A. from Howard University, and her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame School of Law.[1]
Career
Adams was admitted to the Georgia bar in 2000. Prior to joining the court, she served as Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. She also worked as a coordinator with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in the Relationship Abuse Prevention Summit program, and worked as an employment attorney with Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC.[2]

Adams ran unopposed for re-election to the Fulton Superior Court.[3] She was re-elected after receiving 99.7% of the vote in the July 31 election.[4]
