I am a Colorado resident of 47 years, of which I have lived in southern Colorado for 32 years. I am a Civil Engineer that has worked in government for 15 years, much of that in the utility sector. I have a masters in business, so I understand what it takes to be successful. I have dedicated my life to representing the American way of life in the tradition of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I believe in the constitution and all it represents. I am from a military upbringing, and the daughter of a German immigrant. My family is hardworking and means everything to me. I am a widow of 5 years, since my husband passed of Multiple Sclerosis complications in 2019. I have a grown son, who has a family and is a productive member of society. My grandbabies are the light of my life, and I believe I need to protect this great country of ours so that they may thrive in the future.
  • Protect Colorado’s Natural resources
  • Ensure the American dream is obtainable for our families
  • Bringing back the trades
Colorado water, protecting our most vulnerable, our God given rights.
I have many role models, but I would say my father in law has been the most influential in my life. He is an unapologetic American that believes in our way of life. His family comes first and is a faithful servant of God.
The ability to listen and make conscious decisions about how you are affecting the lives of others. Representing the people that elected you with integrity and honesty.
I have the ability to listen, synthesize and make decisions on complex issues. I can read, write, and speak on multiple topics. I have the ability to bring people together and construct workable solutions. I believe in representing the voters as best as possible. I have been a steward of others money and saved countless sums in my government employment and appointments.
Representing the people and being a good steward of public trust and financial responsibility.
I would like to leave a legacy of progress and good work for the State of Colorado and its people.
I was a clerk typist for the federal government while I was a teen in Germany.
As an avid reader, that’s a hard question for me. My favorite book series is The Dark Tower, by Stephen King. Despite what people think, Mr. King writes about the human condition and the paths we take in life. His books are about psychology, human interactions, and how we deal with tough situations.
Elizabeth Darcy (nee Bennett), “Pride and Prejudice”
As a musician, I have multiple songs stuck in my head at any one time. Haha!
I don’t believe in struggles per se. Life is a struggle and we all do our best to make it through successfully. Whether it’s financial, health, or some other area, we adapt and overcome.
There should be some tension between the two offices but only because there needs to be balance of views. Not everything can be agreed upon. A respectful working relationship.
Rising prices, lack of available water, overstepping regulations and legislation. ie, the banning of gas appliances.
Some is helpful but it’s not required to bring good skills to the office. Thankfully I do have that experience and know what to expect.
I was unaware of the crime happening in the San Luis Valley. I was shocked that they are having the same troubles in rural colorado that the Urban corridor has.
I would be trying to rework the “make my day” restrictions to be less burdensome to homeowners. I also want to work on ways to support non profits that are “bringing back the trades.” I want to support Colorado residents in the Colorado Compact negotiations.
Natural resources, economic impact, job creation or maintenance, transportation, agriculture
The government budget is transparent and all items should be accounted for. The voter has control over spending. TABOR should be upheld.
I think we should go back to in person voting, except in extreme cases such as failing health, or absentee ballots.
