Collins ran for justice of the peace on the Canal Township Justice Court. He competed against Brandi Jensen, Daniel J. Bauer, and incumbent Robert J. Bennett in the primary election on June 12, 2012, and was defeated, receiving 5.24% of the vote.[1]
