Kira Orange Jones (Democratic Party) was a member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, representing District 2. She assumed office in 2012. She left office on January 8, 2024.

Jones (Democratic Party) won re-election to the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to represent District 2 outright in the primary on October 12, 2019, after the general election was canceled.

Biography

As of November 2017, Jones was the executive director of Teach for America's Greater New Orleans chapter and a moderator at the Pahara Institute. She was among TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people in 2015.[1]
