I am a father, husband, civil servant, educator, and entrepreneur who wants to use my economic and foreign policy expertise to better represent Tennessee's 7th district. Through my previous position at the Government Accountability Office, I worked alongside officials to increase access to healthcare, education, infrastructure, and economic opportunities. I am a proud resident of College Grove, the son of immigrants who came to this country for better opportunities, and experienced in getting things done in Washington while being a political outsider. As your Congressman, I will fight for our friends, neighbors, and community instead of corporations and special interests, and be a champion for common-sense solutions in Washington.
  • I want to expand access to affordable healthcare by insuring more people and increasing access to clinics and hospitals.
  • I want to invest in our infrastructure, including broadband, to increase opportunities for small businesses, telework, telehealth, and remote education.
  • I want to fully fund our public education system. No child should be penalized with lower quality education based on where they live, and fully funding public schools would create opportunities for millions of children across the country.
I am interested in how public policies are connected with one another, and am passionate about bringing more people into the conversation. While I highlight access to healthcare, improved infrastructure, and quality education, I am also keenly aware of how those three areas are connected to one another. Similarly, we cannot talk about equal access and opportunities without also talking about gender, racial, and social disparities. As such, conversations of racial justice, for example, must include police reform, criminal justice reform, environmental and economic opportunities, healthcare access, and much more. This whole of government approach is important in order to make sure that we are doing all we can for our fellow citizens. I saw this all too often in my work as a civil servant, and am also aware that if we want more people to be part of the conversation, we must include as many issues, concerns, and opportunities to participate as possible.
